MINAKSHI GHUMAN talked about her experiences growing up in three different areas in northern India:  the urban setting of New Delhi, rural Uttar Pradesh, and the foothills of the Himalayas.  She showed great historic photographs of her family and more recent ones of her childhood. Minakshi also shared her view of India today and the changes she saw on her recent trip there.

Minakshi Ghuman moved to Valparaiso, with her late husband and young children, in 1984, after spending time on the East Coast, in England, and in Wales.  She has a daughter, a son, and two grandchildren.  She works as a Broker/Associate for RE/MAX Pace Realty and has been with the company for 25 years.  Minakshi is very involved with civic and cultural activities in the community and has served on many non-profit boards, including The Valparaiso International Center.
