OLIVERA STANKOVIC was an English teacher in her native Montenegro before coming to the USA in 2007.  She earned an MA in English and Communications at the State University of New York at Potsdam.  Now Olivera teaches Communications at Ivy Tech Valparaiso.  Olivera is a talented linguist and poet, and she loves the outdoors and all kinds of sports.

Olivera told us about the culture, history, and traditions of the tiny republic that is her homeland.  She led a rousing bit of folk dancing.  Olivera and Gordana Traycoff offered a great selection of Balkan treats.
