EDUARDO BRUSSA was born in Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay.  He moved to the USA in 2002 and earned degrees in music business and teaching from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee.  Ed is owner/operator of two businesses in Valparaiso, a translation service and a recording and production studio.

He presented a brief history of Uruguay and discussed its demographics, economy, politics, religion, traditions, and performing arts.  Ed talked about the country’s obsession with soccer, and he and his wife Melissa served mate tea and tortas fritas (a kind of fried bread).
