SARDOR YORMUKHAMEDOV talked about the culture, history, food, and traditions of his native Uzbekistan. He discussed the mix of European and Middle Eastern influences that have contributed to modern Uzbek society, and he showed videos demonstrating the various traditional costumes and the evolution of women’s fashion in his country.
Sardor Yormukhamedov studied civil engineering in the capital city of Tashkent, and he also taught English to young Uzbeks. He first visited the U.S. in 2012 as part of a student work/travel program. He returned in 2015 to pursue a master’s degree in information technology at Valparaiso University.
